SALT lansert i Oslo

SALT ble lansert i Oslo fredag 10. januar på Naustet og lanternen, med stort fokus på det som skal skje på Sandhornøy fra 29. august.

Samtidig har SALT fått sin egen facebook-side Lenke til et annet nettsted, åpnes i nytt vindu., der man kan følge utviklingen av prosjektet, med bilder og info om arrangementer.

SALT har også egen nettside Lenke til et annet nettsted, åpnes i nytt vindu., som ble lansert samtidig med prosjektet 10.1.14.

For thousands of years people have followed the movement of animals and the seasonal rhythms in the Arctic landscape. Footprints are few. SALT is inspired by and moves in that same Arctic landscape with care and respect.

SALT is a celebration of culture – creative, historical, environmental and communal – that brings together art, music, food and architecture in unprecedented surroundings.

SALT opens in August 2014, starting out in Norway before – over the coming years – travelling across the northernmost part of our planet, making a home in Greenland, Iceland, the Faroe Islands, Ireland, Scotland, Spitsbergen, Alaska and Russia.

SALT is an ambitious and inspiring concept designed to stir the imagination. Like nothing that has come before, it will also leave no physical trace.

SALT begins its journey upon an Arctic beach on the mountainous island of Sandhornøya, south of Bodø, Northern Norway, between August 2014 and September 2015. Here, at this remote location, surrounded by breath-taking nature, visitors can discover a place to engage the mind, body and soul.
